Some Good and Some Bad
Isn’t it the parents’ job to make sacrifices for their children to be happy?
This was a question that I was asked recently. I had a yes and no answer. Maybe I am wrong. I made many sacrifices for my children.
I stayed with their father because I thought it was the right thing to do. He was an alcoholic, but at least we were financially secure. I was miserable and they could see it.
After a long 19 years, We gave him a choice. His drinking or us, he choose his drinking. I sacrificed a lot for my daughters and would probably do it again if need be, My life has been hard and it has taken me a lot to get over the damage that was done.
We learn from our past and our children learn from us. I hope this was a little bit helpful.
